There are so many Best coffee shops in Tampa and if you know anything about me, you know I don’t play around when it comes to Coffee . I’ve been living here since 2022, and trying new cafés kind of turned into a personal mission.
Cutting this list down to just 15 wasn’t easy (Tampa makes that hard on purpose), but these are the spots that genuinely stood out to me.
Whether you’re looking for a cozy place to work, a good latte, or you just love hopping from café to café like I do, this one’s for you. Let’s get into the best coffee shops in Tampa.
Best Coffee Shops in Downtown Tampa
Oxford Exchange
If I could live at Oxford Exchange, I would. It’s stunning, but more importantly, the food and coffee deliver. A must-visit brunch spot in Tampa.
They serve Buddy Brew (yes, that Buddy Brew), and I always go for the vanilla or seasonal cappuccino. Sweet tooth? The French toast and seasonal pancakes don’t miss.

There’s also a Buddy Brew café outside, plus a bookstore, shop, and champagne bar easy to lose an afternoon here. Just note: no free Wi-Fi.
Perfect for birthdays, bachelorettes, or a special brunch. Make a reservation. And if you love it, their sister spot, The Library in St. Pete, is just as good.
Shortwave Coffee
Shortwave Coffee sits right in Sparkman Wharf, and it’s one of those places that pulls you in without trying too hard.
Great specialty coffee, plus pastries and sandwiches that make self-control very difficult.

The baristas really care here every drink feels intentional, whether you’re ordering a classic cappuccino or something more fun.
And please don’t skip their seasonal strawberry basil latte. It’s iconic and must try for a reason.
The space is clean, modern, and cozy at the same time. Just know this it’s almost always busy. Any day, any time people working, chatting. If you’re okay with a little buzz around you, Shortwave is worth it.
I usually come here to listen to gossip.
Flatbread & Butter
Flatbread & Butter was already one of my favorite coffee shops in St. Pete, so when they finally crossed the bridge, I was very happy.
The space is clean and minimal, the food is solid, and the coffee never disappoints.
I love their cold brew and lattes, but what really won me over and earned them a spot here is the seasonal lemon shortbread latte.

I’m not exaggerating when I say I think about it way too often.
They make their own syrups (and yes, I would sell a limb for that recipe), and nothing else tastes quite like it. It’s basically the pumpkin spice of summer, and I’ll never get over it.
Little Tina
Little Tina is one of those downtown Tampa spots that still feels like a secret. Perfect for grabbing a coffee, getting some work done, or just sitting and catching up with a friend.
Their Mariposa matcha latte is a total showstopper that blue color is unreal.

But I can never come here without ordering the hot churro latte.
It’s dangerously good. They’ve also got a small food menu with acai bowls, avocado toast, and breakfast sandwiches, which is clutch when you need a quick bite.
And for downtown? Street parking is usually surprisingly easy to find.
Lady and the Mug
Lady and the Mug is such a fun little spot for coffee and a bite! The vibes are cozy, the staff is super sweet, and it’s great whether you want to get some work done or just hang out with friends.
If you’re feeling classic, their vanilla latte is perfect. Feeling adventurous? Their seasonal drinks always surprise in the best way. And the food oh, the food.

Pastries, savory bites, and my personal favorite: the vegan tamale. Honestly, it’s amazing.
The only downside? Parking in downtown Tampa can be a pain. But trust me, it’s totally worth it.
Ginger Beard Coffee
Ginger Beard Coffee is hidden inside Pour House in Tampa’s Channelside District, and if nitro cold brew is your thing, this place is a dream.
Honestly, every coffee I’ve had here has been spot-on.

Chai isn’t really my vibe, but word is their chai lattes are next level.
Since it’s inside Pour House, you can easily spend the whole day here start with coffee, then switch to beer or wine. Productivity, sorted.
Best Coffee Spots in Ybor City
22nd Street Coffee
The first thing you’ll notice about 22nd Street Coffee? Parking is a breeze.
If you’ve ever struggled to find a spot at Tampa coffee shops, this place feels like a dream there’s a whole lot ready for you.
Inside, it’s spacious with a great vibe for working or just hanging out. I tried their coñó with vanilla, and it was phenomenal.
For context, a coñó is cold brew with sweetened condensed milk just the right amount of sweetness and a serious kick.

Honestly, it’s one of the few places in Tampa that gives me a real buzz, and I’m here for it.
And the Cuban? I was skeptical, but wow. So good. That sauce alone is worth it.
Pro tip: always ask for extra pickles.
Cafe Quiquiriqui
If you’re in Ybor, getting a Cuban coffee is non-negotiable and Cafe Quiquiriqui inside the gorgeous Hotel Haya is the spot to do it.
The café is super cute and aesthetic, and their café con leche is rich, creamy, and just perfect.
Feeling snacky? (Who isn’t?) Try their empanadas, pastalitos, paninis, or any of their baked treats.

I went for a lunch empanada, but the breakfast ones (served until 11) sound incredible.
And seriously don’t skip the cilantro sauce for dipping. It’s next level.
Coffee Spots in Tampa and Seminole Heights
Spaddy’s
Remi and I are basically regulars at Spaddy’s. It’s this adorable little outdoor courtyard spot, and we always order the Heights cold brew cold brew with sweetened condensed milk, similar to the coñó at 22nd Street.
I usually add their Florida Man flavor, which is this surprisingly perfect mix of orange and vanilla.
I’m a sucker for outdoor seating, especially when Florida weather decides to behave.
And being right next to La Segunda doesn’t help my self-control we always grab a guava pastry to go with our coffee.
Parking can be a little annoying up front, but there’s plenty of space in the back, so it all works out.
Blooming Floral Café
Blooming Floral Cafe is genuinely jaw-dropping. Like, stop-in-your-tracks beautiful.
Every corner is thoughtfully done and overflowing with flowers exactly what you’d hope for from a place with a name this good.
And it’s not just pretty. The coffee and matcha are top tier, plus they’ve got tea, pastries, and the cutest selection of unique gifts and florals.

It honestly feels like wandering through a little local market.
The vibe is everything eclectic, cozy, and full of things you’ll want to take home with you. You could easily lose a whole afternoon here, just soaking it all in.
Coffee Shops in Midtown Tampa
Joffrey’s
Joffrey’s Coffee has a spot in Midtown Tampa, but you’ll also find it tucked into some of my favorite cafés around Tampa Bay like Pipo and Betty’s in Indian Rocks Beach.
They take coffee seriously. Roasting is both art and science here, and it shows.

They’ve got plenty of drinks to try, but their cold brew with cold foam. Unreal.
They only use specialty-grade Arabica beans (which is a big deal), and everything is small-batch roasted for max flavor and freshness. If you love good coffee, Joffrey’s is a must.
Coffee Shops in North Hyde Park
The Lab Coffee
The Lab Coffee lives up to its name always experimenting and switching things up. The vibe is all about discovery, and the baristas want to help you build your perfect cup.
I usually go for an iced vanilla latte.

The space is sleek and industrial, great for parking your laptop for a while. And don’t skip the food it’s just as good as the coffee.
The breakfast bagel with Sriracha mayo is a win, and I’m already planning to go back for the Cuban and guava cheese pastry.
They’ve got locations in West Tampa and Seminole Heights, but if I’m choosing, West Tampa wins.
Psomi
Psomi (which means bread in Greek) is a cozy, family-owned Greek American bakery and eatery that just feels right.
They do have great coffee and baked goods, but where Psomi really shines is weekend brunch.
Choosing what to order is the hardest part brioche bread pudding muffins, Mama’s baklava, baklava coffee cake… everything hits.
The menu blends Greek tradition with global touches, and you can tell everything’s made with care, using the freshest ingredients.
The service is warm too, the kind that makes you want to linger.
They serve coffee from Bandit Coffee (one of my St. Pete favorites) and even have a house-made baklava syrup you can add to your drink which you absolutely should.
Psomi is open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 AM to 3 PM.
Best Coffee Shops in Hyde Park
Buddy Brew
Buddy Brew is a Tampa staple and honestly, it deserves the hype. With locations all over the city, it’s one of those places you can always rely on for good coffee and a cute space to sit, whether you’re working or just hanging out.
My go-to orders are the vanilla or pumpkin spice cappuccino (seasonal but so good) or a vanilla caramel iced latte.
Cold brew isn’t really my thing here, but everything else hits.
You’ll find Buddy Brew in Armature Works, Hyde Park, Bay to Bay, Kennedy, and even inside Oxford Exchange so getting your Buddy Brew fix is never a problem.
Coffee Spots in South Tampa
Lull Café
Lull Cafe is this adorable coffee shop on wheels that’s taken Tampa by storm and honestly, I get why.
The avocado toast is perfection, and I’m already planning my next visit to try more from the menu.
But let’s talk coffee. Their pumpkin latte (with an actual scoop of pumpkin) and the biscoff latte are so good great quality, perfectly balanced, no weird sweetness.

They’re also known for their matcha.
The strawberry matcha wasn’t my personal favourite, but it’s a fan favourite, so it’s definitely worth trying for yourself.
So… which of these Best Coffee Shops in Tampa are you trying first?
There are so many good ones, whether you’re looking for a cozy corner, a lively hangout, or a place to get some work done with a good cup of coffee.
I hope this list helps you find a new favorite let me know which one you’re most excited to check out.
